Ok, so my name is Jessica. I am 17 years of age and live in the United Kingdom.
I have been a yo-yo dieter since I was 13 and I have started my own type of weight-loss programme to 'fight the flab'. I used to be a member of 'Slimming World', but last year I stopped going because I wasn't losing weight anymore.
I can't remember whether I found it was because I failed to follow the plan anymore, chose not to, or if it was simply because my body had grown accustomed to the amount of calories I was taking in on that diet, although I don't know how many I was taking in at the time.
II decided that the fatness had to stop and I couldn't let food get the upper-hand anymore. It was time to take over. I was initially writing my progress in an A4 notebook, but then I found this website and read the journals of a few of the lovely ladies on here, and decided to make my own. The A4 notebook has now been trashed.
If I had to describe myself, I would call myself a 'self-loathing perfectionist'. Basically, I have never been truly happy about myself, not until quite recently anyway. I'm starting to feel much better about myself, not only in my appearance, but about myself as a person.
Basically, I had always been an overweight child and only recently have I brought my BMI back down to normal and managed to fit into size 10 clothes, (which I'm pretty sure is size 3 American?).
My weight has not been my only problem. I also suffer from acne. At the time when I was my biggest, my acne was also at it's worst. My weight and acne have worked pretty much in direct proportion to one another. As I got bigger, my acne got worse and as I got smaller, my acne started fading.
I also had stretch marks, which are now fading quite a lot.
So, basically, I was always unhappy because I was overweight, had acne and got stretch marks. I'm still not entirely happy with myself, but I'm getting there.
So, here are my stats:
- Height: 5'4", (162.5cm).
- Age : 17
- Highest Weight: 11st 6.5lb. (160.5lb). (Jan 2006).
- Current Weight: 9st, 4.75lb. (130.75.0lb). (29th July 2007).
- Lowest Weight : 9st, 2.5lb. (128.5lb). (27th July 2007).
- Goal Weight : 9st, 0.0lb. (126.0lb).
- To acheive by : September 2007, (Ready for returning to college).
- Overall goal : To be of a healthy weight, (between 8st 10lb and 9st 7lb), and be of decent fitness, so exercise to trim own my flabby areas, (in other words, to be perfect in my own eyes).
- To acheive by : 0:00am January 1st 2008.
Ok, so that's enough rambling on my part. Hope to talk to you soon!
All my love,
Jess x
